Let’s come together one conversation at a time

Conversations help us to feel more connected to each other and our communities. And that feels good, and gives us hope. Love Has No Labels is proud to partner with StoryCorps, whose One Small Step program builds connections between people, regardless of their differences, by fostering meaningful conversations.

Watch the videos below to hear how conversation brought people together, despite their differences.

Hear from real people who participated in One Small Step

One Small Step is an effort by StoryCorps to use the power of meaningful conversation to create connections and remind us of our shared humanity. In doing this, we can begin to mend our nation — one conversation at a time.

An unexpected friendship

A Muslim student at the University of Texas came to a march protesting the election of Donald Trump. Attending the same rally was a Trump supporter wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap. Watch this conversation between two people who remember a moment that day that unexpectedly brought them together.

Find common ground with loved ones
